Around the time of our rebrand and relaunch, I wrote a post about the thinking and reasoning behind our move from our previous office at 74 Lewes Road to a larger, off high street unit at 35 Providence Place. The business had got to a point where our space requirements had outgrown the space we occupied and with the large majority of interactions now taking place online, or at a property, we saw little need to take on the increased costs associated with a prominent shop front.
And it worked, over the last four and a half years, we have grown as a company, adding departments and each department growing year on year. The additional space and ability to make the office exactly what we needed it to be has certainly helped that, and I am still firmly of the belief that the majority of the property industry exists online, and anything that doesn’t is generally best dealt with in person, at the property in question, with very little requiring anyone to visit our offices.
However, things have changed a little over this time, that has given us cause to relocate again. Firstly, as is usually the case for an office move, we have outgrown the premises at 35 Providence Place with our growing staff numbers, and we needed to find more space. This will allow us to continue to deliver in the same way we always have, and retain space to meet clients at our office when necessary.
But the other angle, that I don’t think I saw coming until it did is that despite there being no real need for a shop front for people to walk in, as no one buys (or sells) a house on a walk in, in this day and age; we felt the need for a greater prominence in being seen, as it has a way of building trust in the residential sales market, in a way that isn’t so important for commercial agency and residential lettings.
So, with all this in mind, the real purpose of this blog, is to let everyone know that we will be moving from our office at 35 Providence Place and you will now find us in new premises in Brighton. From August 2024, you will find Eightfold Property at 86 Gloucester Road, BN1 4AP.
We will of course, remain unchanged online, or on the phone, and you can reach us in all the usual ways, but should you need to find us, we’ll be in a new office.
