Simon Jones MRICS
Professional Services Director
Simon has more than 30 years’ experience in the surveying profession and has undertaken all aspects of general practice work. Simon is the head of compliance and professional standards for the Professional Services department.
Well-versed in a variety of appointments, Simon provides valuation and consultancy advice to a wide range of clients including lending institutions, private investors, property companies, and private and public sector occupiers. He specialises in valuations in central London and the South of England. Through his role as a valuer for banks and property investment funds, Simon has provided loan security and regulated purpose valuations across a range of property sectors including both commercial, residential and alternatives. He also undertakes valuations for accounts, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, as well as statutory valuations.
Simon was Involved in European valuation consultancy for several years whilst working at Chesterton International.
Simon has extensive and wide-ranging valuation experience in all commercial sectors and residential property types for loan security for major UK and overseas lenders. In addition, Simon has considerable knowledge of alternative sectors such as Leisure & Hospitality. His industry experience includes:
- Provision of multi-property asset valuations for public sector, corporate and private clients including commercial, residential and specialist properties which require a range of valuation methodologies.
- Valuing large mixed-use, residential, commercial and leisure development sites across the UK and Europe.
- Acting on valuations of large sites for loan security and directly for housebuilders.
- Acting as an expert witness and providing valuation evidence at the High Court on various commercial investment and residential properties across the South.
Simon was a Founder and Trustee of Sparkle Children's Charity from 1997 to 2017.
